I’ve visited Paris 6 times, and each visit has brought new discoveries. From Eiffel Tower to  Passage des Panoramas, I’ve explored many of the city’s attractions.

From these experiences, I’m excited to share with you a complete 10-day Paris itinerary. In this guide, I’ll take you through every detail, showing you how to spend the best 10 days of your life in the City of Light. Let’s get started!

Morning: Arrival in Paris

7:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Arrival in Paris. After landing, make your way to your accommodation in the 1st Arrondissement, a prime location near the Louvre. 

This area is not only central but also one of the safest in Paris, making it an ideal spot for first-time visitors to base their stay.

8:30 AM – 9:30 AM: If you arrive early, head to Café Verlet, a charming spot known for its gourmet coffee and pastries. 

Enjoy a light Parisian breakfast as you soak in the local atmosphere—perfect for getting into the Parisian vibe.

9:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Check in at your accommodation, drop off your bags, freshen up, and prepare for your first day of exploration.

Late Morning: The Louvre Museum

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Take a short walk to the Louvre Museum, just minutes away from your hotel. 

Spend about 3 hours immersing yourself in the world’s largest art museum, home to thousands of artworks spanning centuries.

Be sure to see the iconic Mona Lisa, the graceful Venus de Milo, and the fascinating Egyptian antiquities. 

The museum’s extensive collection can be overwhelming, so it’s wise to plan ahead and focus on the highlights.

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: For lunch, head to Café Marly, located within the Louvre’s courtyard. 

Although a bit pricey, the café offers stunning views of the Louvre Pyramid and serves delicious French cuisine. It’s the perfect spot to rest and refuel after your museum visit.

Afternoon: Jardin des Tuileries

3:00 PM – 4:30 PM: After lunch, take a stroll through the Jardin des Tuileries, one of Paris’s most beautiful gardens. This historical park is a lovely place to relax, with its manicured lawns, elegant fountains, and tree-lined paths.

4:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Pick up a snack from one of the park’s kiosks—perhaps a classic French crêpe or some ice cream—as you continue to explore the gardens and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Evening: Seine River Cruise

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: As the evening approaches, make your way to the Seine River for a sunset cruise. 

Bateaux Parisiens offers an hour-long cruise that takes you past Paris’s most famous landmarks, all beautifully decorated at night. 

The views of the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Musée d’Orsay from the river are simply unforgettable.

7:30 PM – 9:00 PM: After the cruise, treat yourself to dinner at Le Fumoir, a stylish restaurant near the Louvre known for its modern French cuisine. The cozy ambiance and excellent menu make it a great choice for your first dinner in Paris.

9:00 PM – 10:00 PM: End your day with a glass of wine at Willi’s Wine Bar, a charming spot that’s perfect for a quiet drink before heading back to your hotel.

Day 2: Eiffel Tower & Champs-Élysées

Take the elevator to the top for stunning panoramic views of Paris. From this vantage point, you can see the city’s most famous landmarks, including the Seine River, Notre Dame, and the sprawling avenues below. 

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also opt to climb the stairs to the second floor, which offers equally stunning views and a more intimate experience.

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: After descending the tower, make your way to Carette on Place du Trocadéro for breakfast. Known for its elegant pastries, rich hot chocolate, and chic Parisian ambiance, 

Carette is a perfect spot to indulge in a leisurely breakfast while gazing back at the Eiffel Tower from across the Seine.

Late Morning: Champ de Mars

11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Take a leisurely stroll through the Champ de Mars, the expansive park that stretches out in front of the Eiffel Tower. 

This amazing green space is ideal for capturing those quintessential Paris photos with the tower as your backdrop.

12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: If you’re in the mood for a quick snack, pick up a crêpe from one of the nearby stands—a classic Parisian treat that’s both delicious and convenient.

Afternoon: Champs-Élysées & Lunch

1:30 PM – 3:30 PM: After your morning in the 7th arrondissement, head over to the Champs-Élysées, Paris’s most famous boulevard. 

This bustling avenue is a haven for shoppers and tourists alike, lined with luxury boutiques, flagship stores, and historic theaters.

Whether you’re interested in browsing the latest fashion trends or simply soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, the Champs-Élysées offers something for everyone. 

Don’t forget to take in the grandeur of the avenue itself, with the Arc de Triomphe standing proudly at one end.

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM: When you’re ready for lunch, stop at L’Alsace, a classic brasserie located on the Champs-Élysées.

Here, the only thing on the menu is steak, served with a secret sauce that’s been a closely guarded recipe for decades. The experience is as much about the ambiance and tradition as it is about the food—an essential part of any Paris itinerary.

9:00 PM – 10:00 PM: If you’re up for a nightcap, head to Harry’s New York Bar, a historic spot in the heart of Paris. 

This bar is famous for inventing the Bloody Mary and has a rich history that includes patrons like Hemingway and Fitzgerald.

Day 3: Montmartre & Sacré-Cœur

Late Morning: Sacré-Cœur Basilica

11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: After breakfast, make your way to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, perched atop the highest point in Paris. The basilica’s gorgeous white-domed exterior is a masterpiece of architecture, and the views from the top are absolutely breathtaking.

You can climb the 300 steps to the dome for a panoramic vista of Paris that stretches out in all directions.

12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: As you continue exploring Montmartre, treat yourself to a gelato from Amorino, located nearby. Known for its flower-shaped gelato cones, Amorino is a perfect spot for a sweet break.

Afternoon: Lunch & Musée de Montmartre

1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: For lunch, head to Le Moulin de la Galette, a historic restaurant housed in a former windmill. 

This charming eatery is famous for its traditional French cuisine and offers a delightful ambiance with its nice setting. 

Enjoy classic dishes like duck confit or escargots while soaking in the history and atmosphere of this iconic Montmartre landmark.

2:30 PM – 4:00 PM: After lunch, visit the Musée de Montmartre, a museum dedicated to the history and culture of this bohemian neighborhood.

Day 4: Latin Quarter & Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Morning: The Panthéon & Breakfast

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Begin your day in the historic Latin Quarter with a visit to the Panthéon. This grand neoclassical building, originally intended as a church. 

Now serves as a mausoleum for some of France’s most esteemed figures, including Voltaire, Rousseau, and Marie Curie

Day 5: Day Trip to Versailles

Arriving early will allow you to enjoy the grandeur of the Palace of Versailles before the larger crowds descend. The train ride itself offers a glimpse of the Parisian suburbs, setting the stage for a day of historical exploration.

The Angelina tearoom is a popular choice, known for its hot chocolate and elegant pastries, providing a brief but luxurious respite before continuing your exploration.

Afternoon: Versailles Gardens & Lunch

12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: After the palace, step outside to the vast Versailles Gardens, covering nearly 2,000 acres.
